To My Lovely Wendy
For better or worse, through joy or pain,
In sunshine or storms, in loss or gain,
Through sickness or health, with love in our hearts,
Forever we vow, till death do us part.
About Author
Meet Lynn Wenger — Alzheimer's Caregiver & Author
Lynn Wenger grew up on a hog farm in Iowa but pursued a career in construction engineering, earning his degree and building a life in project management. His work required extensive writing, letters, contracts, and change orders, but no amount of professional experience could prepare him for the story he would one day have to tell.
At 29, he met Wendy at a party, and a year later, they were married. Together, they built a life filled with love and raised children and grandchildren. But it all came to a halt when Wendy was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2019. Having watched his father care for his mother after a massive stroke, Lynn already knew the kind of devotion marriage requires. When Wendy was diagnosed, he embraced that same role, standing by her side through everything.
